STORY OF IMPACT:
In an effort to help Aggies who were in the path of Hurricane Harvey, The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M University set aside $200,000 that was made available to A&M Clubs in the storm-torn areas. This support was used at the Club’s discretion to assist Aggies as they worked to rebuild their communities. The Beaumont A&M Club received $30,000 as part of this effort, which was dispersed to several Aggies in the area who were impacted by the storm.
ANSWER: It’s estimated that 177,000 Aggies were in the path of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation.
